WOMEN'S SWIMMING EYEING NEAC CROWN AFTER DAY TWO

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Wells College women's swimming team will enter the final day of the NEAC women's swimming championship in first place after finishing the second day with a slim 307.5 to 304.5 lead over second place Cazenovia College on Saturday evening in Cazenovia.

The 200 Medley Relay Team of Idolyn Villiotti (Amherst, N.H.), Erika Bareiss (Clinton, N.Y.), Gabby Spencer (Trumansburg, N.Y.), and Olivia Touron (Cato, N.Y.) set the tone in the first event of the day placing first and setting the NEAC record with a time of 2:05.27. The relay time was also good for 4th all-time at Wells.

Touron also earned a second place finish in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:12.23 placing her 10th all-time in the event at Wells.

In one of the most exciting events of the evening, Idolyn Villiotti tied for first in the 100 Backstroke with Jenn Foley from Cazenovia with each finishing with a time of 1:08.14, while Spencer placed second in the event with a time of 1:08.21.

SUNY Cobleskill currently sits in third with 286 points, Gallaudet University enters the final day in fourth with 275 points, and The College of St. Elizabeth is in fifth with 176 points.
