Feudale’s Finishes Not Enough In 77-44 Loss To Oswego State

AURORA, N.Y. – For the second straight meet, sophomore Hilary Feudale (Coal Township, Pa.) collected two second place finishes as the Wells College women's swimming team posted a 77-44 loss to the Lakers of Oswego State College at the Wells College Aquatic Center Saturday afternoon. Wells falls to 0-2 in head-to-head meets on the year while the Lakers (1-2) earn their first victory of the year.

Feudale placed first in the 100 Yard Backstroke, recording a season-best time of 1:05.71. She currently holds the program's top mark in that event with a time of 1:03.63. In the 50 Yard Freestyle, Feudale went on to post a time of 26.91 to capture first place and an additional five points for Wells.

Junior Olive Touron (Cato, N.Y.) barely missed capturing second place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, completing the event with a time of 1:22.71, trailing Maya Kaplan of Oswego State by only .55 seconds. Freshman Gina Ross-Detro (Geneva, N.Y.) had a strong performance in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, turning in a time of 3:03.05 to earn three points for the Express in the 19th event of the afternoon.

Wells returns to action this Saturday, Nov. 9 as they face-off against the Pioneers of Utica College in a 1:00 p.m. road meet.
