Women's Swimming Earns Fifth Place At Hartwick Relays

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Wells College women's swimming team posted a fifth place finish at the annual Hartwick Relays on Saturday. Competing against six teams, the Express racked up 18 points in its first action of the season.

In the day's first event, the foursome of freshman Quinn Griswold (Alpine, N.Y.), freshman Emily Blake (Naples, N.Y.), freshman Courtney Cloutier (West Springfield, Mass.) and senior Nina Daniels (Pittsford, N.Y.) posted a time of 4:57.71 in the 400 Yard Medley Relay to earn a fast six points for the Express. Blake, Daniels and Cloutier later chipped in a time of 4:27.18 in the 3x100 Yard Breaststroke Relay.

The aforementioned foursome combined to post a time of 10:31.93 in the 850 Yard Crescendo Relay, earning four points in the day's ninth event. They also turned in a time of 4:31.14 in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, posting four points and rounding out the day for the Express.

The Express host the Lakers from Oswego State University on Saturday, Oct. 31 in the Wells College Aquatic Center.
