GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Senior Nina Daniels (Pittsford, N.Y.) of the Wells College women's swimming program has been chosen as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, helping her team to defeat Pitt.-Bradford by an 81-69 margin on Saturday.

Daniels was a part of three-separate first place finishes for Wells, finishing first as an individual in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:16.50) and the 500 Yard Freestyle (6:01.70). In the latter event, Daniels beat out the second place finisher from Pitt.-Bradford by over 45 seconds.

She also teamed with freshman Courtney Cloutier (West Springfield, Mass.), junior Gina Ross-Detro (Geneva, N.Y.) and sophomore Kaitlyn Schwend (San Marcos, Calif.) in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, earning 11 points for Wells with a first place time of 4:45.50.

With Tuesday's announcement, Daniels has won NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week recognition for the first time in her four-year career. A 13-time winner of NEAC All-Conference awards, Daniels is a part of the fastest 200 and 800 Yard Freestyle Relays in team history.
