Cedar Crest Outscores Wells Women's Swimming

The Wells College women's swimming team competed in dual-meet action Saturday, Nov. 12 at Cedar Crest College. Cedar Crest is an associate member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference and won the dual meet by a score of 114-73.

Wells started the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay by the team of Shannon Simmons, Gina Ross-Detro, Kaitlyn Schwend, and Courtney Cloutier in 2:10.76.

Cloutier and Schwend swept the top-two spots in the 100-yard butterfly with Cloutier's time of 1:09.56 just edging out Schwend in 1:09.97.

Schwend was second in the 50-yard freestyle in 28.83 seconds and Couiter was second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:30.60.

Improving times were also turned in by Asa Cade and Anna Bozeat in distance events.

Wells returns to action with a home meet Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. against Alfred State.
