NEAC Swimmer Of The Week Honors For Cloutier
Wells College women's swimming senior Courtney Cloutier earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week recognition for the week ending Nov. 11, 2018. Cloutier won three individual events in a dual-meet at Gallaudet University.
Cloutier's three event wins helped Wells to a win in the dual, as the Express topped the Bison, 115-65. The Wells College senior won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:32.47 before a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:11.19. Cloutier wrapped up the event with a win in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:18.55 to finish 16.6 seconds ahead of the second-place swimmer.
It is the second time this season that Cloutier has earned this honor, following her Oct. 28 recognition following the team's dual-meet at Oswego State. In that meet, Cloutier placed second in four events. The senior swimmer finished second in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley with times of 2:35.66 and 2:29.05, respectively. Cloutier was also part of the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays that earned second place.
Wells returns to competitive action Saturday, Dec. 1 with a home meet at the Schwartz Athletic Center against SUNY Cobleskill and Roberts Wesleyan.
