Women’s Swimming Team Finishes Seventh at Pumpkin Relays

The Wells College women's swimming team took seventh place at the Pumpkin Relays hosted by SUNY Cortland on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Several of the competing teams had multiple entries in most of the 24 events with almost all of them comprised of either four-men or three-men relays.

The Wells College women's swimming team finished the day with four top-10 finishes that included the 3 X 100-yard medley relay, the 200-yard medley relay, the 800-yard freestyle relay and the 650-yard freestyle relay.

The best finish for the Wells women's team was in the 800-yard freestyle relay where the quartet of Saoirse Murphy-Collins, Amy Storti, Shannon Simmons and Jessica Boeheim clocked in at 10:37.00.

The Wells College women's swimming team next hosts SUNY Oswego on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m.
