Women’s Swimming Team Wins NEAC Opener

The Wells College women's swimming team won 11 events against visiting Gallaudet University to take the meet by a 75-43 score on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Four different swimmers won a pair of events each, while two others took single victories after the team opened with a relay win.

Winning two events each were Amy Storti (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle), Shannon Simmons (100 backstroke and 200 backstroke), Hailey Onofre (100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke) and Saoirse Murphy-Collins (50 freestyle and 100 freestyle).

Also winning was Jessica Boeheim (1000 freestyle) and Nicole D'Aurizio (200 IM), as well as the Wells' 200-yard medley relay team.

The women's swimming team heads to Utica for its next meet on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m.
