OSWEGO NIPS EXPRESS

Oswego, N.Y.–  The Wells College women's tennis team held a 2-1 advantage over the Osego St. Lakers after the completion of doubles play, but the Lakers picked up the decisive win at No. 6 singles to clinch a 5-4 victory for Oswego on Tuesday in Oswego, N.Y. Decker won the first set over Wells' Amanda Casselman, but dropped the second set 6-3 before bouncing back for a 6-3 third set win. Oswego State improved to 3-9 overall, while the Express fall to 5-4.

The Lakers evened the match after Michele Hierholzer defeated Ana Riley 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.  Oswego State won the next two singles matches at No. 3 and No. 5 singles to take a 4-2 lead with three matches remaining before Wells earned a point at No. 1 singles to pull within 4-3.  However, Decker came up the final Laker point to seal the win.
