Aurora, N.Y.– The Wells College women's tennis team had their three game conference winning streak snapped, losing to North Eastern Athletic Conference rival Keuka College 5-4 on Monday afternoon in Aurora, N.Y. With the loss the Express fall to 3-2 (3-1 NEAC), while the Storm improve to 1-3 (1-1 NEAC).
Ana Lucia Riley (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham) paced the Express in singles action, defeating Brin Benjamin 7-6, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, while Aya Shiraishi (Osaka, Japan) and Caitlyn Copfer (Clinton, N.Y./Clinton) won decidedly at No 5 and 6 singles, 6-3, 6-4, and 6-1, 6-1, respectively.
Wells returns to action this Saturday, April 10 against Penn. St. Abington at 1:00 p.m. in Abington, Pa.
