LAMIER AND VANNO EARN SECOND TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS

(Aurora, N.Y.)─ Wells College women's tennis senior Mindy Lamier (Canastota, N.Y.) and freshmen Brittany Vanno (Whitesboro, N.Y.) were recently selected to the North Eastern Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team. Lamier earned the all-conference honors at No. 4 singles while Vanno was selected to the all-conference team at No. 6 singles. The Express (3-7, 2-4 NEAC) fell short of qualifying for the NEAC Team Championship but did send five players to the NEAC individual championship tournament.
 
Lamier finished the season with an overall individual record of 5-4, including 4-2 in the NEAC. Mindy Lamier earned the lone victory at No. 4 singles defeating Brin Benjamin in straight sets 7-6, 6-1 to move on the championship round where she would fall to Penn. St. Abington's Rebekah Dubin 6-1, 6-2, earning the Second-Team All-Conference Award.
 
Vanno finished the season with an overall individual record of 5-3, including a 4-2 record in NEAC play. Vanno advanced to the championship round at No. 6 singles, defeating Lauren Hetzel of Penn. St. Abington in three sets (6-3, 0-6, 6-3). However, Vanno fell in the championship match earning her the Second-Team All-Conference Award.
