Women’s Tennis Swept By Fredonia State, 9-0

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College women's tennis team was defeated by visiting Fredonia State College by a 9-0 score Monday afternoon at the Wells College tennis courts. With the loss, the Express fall to 0-3 on the year while the Blue Devils improve to 4-3 overall.

The closet match of the day came at No. 3 singles as sophomore Brooke Benedetto (Williamstown, N.Y.) was able to battle back after losing the first set 6-0 to Miller Barmasse. After a second set comeback by Benedetto, Barmasse was able to collect the 7-2 tiebreak victory.

Wells returns to action this Thursday, Sept. 26 as they host the Storm of Keuka College at 4:00 p.m. on the Wells College Tennis Courts.
