Women’s Tennis Falls To Keuka, 8-1

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College women's tennis team was defeated by visiting Keuka College by an 8-1 margin Thursday afternoon at the Wells College tennis courts. With the loss, the Express fall to 0-4 on the year while the Storm (1-0) picks up the victory in only their first match of the year.

Senior Alyssa Acquaviva (New Hartford, N.Y.) picks up her first collegiate singles victory, handily defeating Danielle Delgatto by a score of 6-1, 6-1. Keuka, however, was able to set down the Express in all three doubles matches and in 5-of-6 singles tilts.

Wells faces-off against the Hawks of Hartwick College in a 12:00 p.m. road contest on Sunday, Sept. 29 to conclude the fall calendar of games.
