Women's Tennis Swept By Elmira, 9-0

PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – The Wells College women's tennis team was swept by the Soaring Eagles from Elmira College on Saturday at the Murray Athletic Center. With the loss, the Express dip to 0-6 overall on the season while Elmira improves to 7-3 following the non-conference match.

Sophomore Taryn Heath (Truxton, N.Y.) had the strongest performance on the day for Wells, battling her Elmira opponent to a 7-5 opening set loss before Stephanie Tock closed out the win with a 6-2 decision.

Today's match versus Elmira was the first of the spring for the Express. Wells returns to action this Friday, Apr. 4 as they face-off against Cazenovia in a noon time match at the YMCA of Greater Syracuse in Manlius, N.Y.
