OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Wells College women's tennis team posted an 8-1 loss to the Lakers of Oswego State University on Friday at the Romney Tennis Courts. With the loss, Wells dips to 0-2 overall on the season while the Lakers improve to 1-2.

The No. 3 doubles tandem of freshman Danielle Bautista (Moorpark, Calif.) and junior Kevisha Hunt (Germantown, Md.) secured their team's lone win of the afternoon, edging Marie Halpin and Olivia Knierman by an 8-6 margin.

Wells returns to action this Wednesday, Sept. 10 as they face-off against Utica on the road at 4 p.m.
