Women's Tennis Falls In Weekend NEAC Matches

The Wells College women's tennis team started North Eastern Athletic Conference play for the 2017 season with dual matches Saturday at Lancaster Bible College and Sunday at Penn State Berks.

In Saturday's match, Lancaster Bible won by a score of 7-2. Wells earned victories at third doubles and fourth singles. In the doubles win, Aala Al-Hashimi and Nao Shimada won by an 8-4 score. At fourth singles, Yui Omachida earned a 6-3, 6-4 win.

On Sunday, Penn State Berks won by a score of 9-0. Wells stands at 0-5 on the season with an 0-2 record in NEAC matches.

The Express will play at home Saturday, April 8 against Bryn Athyn College at 1 p.m.
