Women's Volleyball To Compete At NEAC Championships

AURORA, N.Y. For the first time in the program's three year, modern day history, the Wells College women's volleyball team has qualified for the North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Championship, held on the campus of Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.

With a 23-10 overall record alongside a NEAC record of 10-2, the Express have secured the No. 2 seed in the conference and have earned a First Round bye. Only a season prior, the team posted a 5-25 record and registered 18 more wins in 2014 while dramatically reducing the team's number of losses.

Wells will open postseason play on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m., facing-off against the winner of Friday's showdown between the No. 3-seeded Nittany Lions of Penn St.-Berks and the No. 6-seeded Wildcats of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

First Round action begins on Friday, Nov. 7 between the Nittany Lions and the Wildcats at 5 p.m. on the campus of Gallaudet University. Later in the evening, the No. 4-seeded Keuka College Wolfpack face-off against the No. 5-seeded Chargers of Lancaster Bible College at 7 p.m. Saturday's action will feature the winner of the Keuka/Lancaster Bible match taking on the host Bison of Gallaudet University at high noon with the Wells match to follow at 2 p.m.
