Women's Volleyball Splits Day 2 of Rochester Invitational

The Wells College women's volleyball team finished the University of Rochester Invitational with a win and a loss on the second day of the tournament. Olyvia Brazier was named to the all-tournament team.

Wells is 4-4 overall this season and begins North Eastern Athletic Conference play this week with a Wednesday, Sept. 13 home match against Keuka College at 7 p.m.

Frostburg State 3, Wells 0

Frostburg State won by set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-19. The Express held late leads in each of the first two sets before Frostburg rallied to take each set.

Olyvia Brazier led Wells with 13 kills and Jackie Allen had nine kills. Brazier hit .423 for the match and also served two aces and added six digs. Anuhea Leite-Ah Yo had 12 digs. Amanda Springer and Lakshmi Martin each had one solo block.

Wells 3, Utica 0

The Express ended the weekend with a win by set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-23. It is the fourth year in a row that Wells has defeated Utica College.

Wells hit .219 in the match. Brazier again led the team with 13 kills. Jackie Allen added nine. Eliza Schwab had 17 assists and Jordan Stoops had 12 assists. Wells served seven aces, including three each from Allen and Schwab. Rachel Anderson had four block assists and Lakshmi Martin had three. Anuhea Leite-Ah Yo led Wells with 16 digs.
