Fastiggi, Women's Cross Country Compete At Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Making her collegiate debut at the four kilometer Le Moyne College Alumni Short Course Invitational on Saturday, freshman Amanda Fastiggi (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) placed 32nd out of 71 entrants to lead the Wells College women's cross country team. Collectively, the Express placed fourth out of four teams with 120 total points.

Fastiggi's time of 20:03.43 led all Wells runners on the afternoon. Sophomore Amanda Bottorff (Cicero, N.Y.) was the second finisher for the Express, posting a time of 22:14.64. Junior Bailey Brown (Marcy, N.Y.) completed the course in 22:35.56 while the team's reigning Rookie of the Year, sophomore Audrey Woolever (Owego, N.Y.), was the fifth Wells runner to finish (27:03.24). Sophomore Katelyn Costello (Nunda, N.Y.) was the final scorer to cross the finish line, securing a time of 27:25.80.

Freshman Rosalety Galea (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and classmate Elena Bushy (Wilmington, N.Y.) finished with times of 28:43.80 and 30:08.90, respectively. Senior Brittany Paul (Rochester, N.Y.) rounded out the Wells finishers with a time of 30:20.43.

The Express return to action Saturday, Sept. 12 as they compete at the Don Masterson Invitational, hosted by Oswego State University, at 11 a.m.
