Fastiggi Paces Women's Cross Country at Oswego State

OSWEGO, N.Y. – Freshman Amanda Fastiggi (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) posted another strong finish for the Wells College women's cross country team on Saturday at the Oswego State Cross Country Invitational. Fastiggi and the Express posted a ninth place finish out of 10 teams competing on the 5K course, posting 245 points.

Out of 124 individuals competing, Fastiggi earned a 43rd place finish with a time of 21:17.6 after running at a 6:52/mile pace. Sophomore Amanda Bottorff (Cicero, N.Y.) was the second finisher for Wells with a time of 24:59.2, crossing the finish line in 98th place. Junior Bailey Brown (Marcy, N.Y.) narrowly missed a top-100 placement, completing the course in 25:11.5.

Sophomore Audrey Woolever (Owego, N.Y.) turned in a time of 28:53.0 while freshman Elena Bushy (Wilmington, N.Y.) and sophomore Katelyn Costello (Nunda, N.Y.) placed 116th and 117th, respectively, with times of 28:54.2 and 29:57.3. Freshman Rosalety Galea (Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed 119th (30:16.0) while senior Brittany Paul (Rochester, N.Y.) rounded out the field of Wells runners, placing 123rd with a time of 33:41.1.

Wells will compete at the University of Rochester Yellow Jacket Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m.
