Women's Cross Country Competes At CCOC Meet

The Wells College women's cross country team placed 11th in a field of 11 teams at the Cross Country Only Conference Championship meet, hosted by Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y. The women's six-kilometer course at Seneca Lake Park was contested under cool and comfortable conditions.

A total of 112 runners representing 13 institutions competed in the Saturday, Oct. 14 race. There were 11 full teams entered along with incomplete teams from two other institutions.

Amanda Fastiggi was the top finisher for Wells with a time of 28 minutes, 41 seconds for an average kilometer time of 4:47.

Nana Ogata was next for Wells with a time of 30:51 and Miranda Mingen followed closely behind in 30:59.

Kaylen Furr finished in 33:28, Rosalety Galea clocked 40:56 and Aala Al-Hashimi finished in 41:46.

Wells will run next week at the Hamilton College Short-Course Tune-Up, on Saturday, Oct. 21.
