Women's Cross Country Competes At Rochester

The Wells College women's cross country team competed at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Genesee Valley Park. Wells competed across a six-kilometer course for the first time this season. The field consisted of 16 teams and a total of 212 competitors.

Amanda Fastiggi crossed first for the Express with a time of 28 minutes, 52 seconds. She was followed aby Abigail Frey with another sub-30-minute time as Frey finished in 29:04.

Miranda Mingen scored third for Wells in 30:03. Yuna Itakura (33:53) and Aala Al-Hashimi (38:46) completed the Wells lineup.

After a one-week hiatus Wells will return to compete Sept. 29 at the Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational.
