Seventh-Place Run For Women's Cross Country At CCOC

The Wells College women's cross country team placed seventh among nine teams at the Cross Country Only Conference Championship meet hosted at Geneva, N.Y. by Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Seven Wells student-athletes ran the six-kilometer course and the team totaled 170 points, which was 20 points behind sixth-place Morrisville State and 39 points better than eighth-place SUNY Canton.

Amanda Fastiggi placed 25th overall with a time of 27 minutes, 8 seconds to lead the way for the Express.

A pair of Wells runners came through next as Miranda Mingen was 52nd with a time of 29:13 and Yuna Itakura was 55th in 29:31.

Kaylen Furr (31:19) and Abigail Frey (32:38) rounded out the scoring lineup for the Express. Patience Koenig (41:22) and Aala Al-Hashimi (43:06) completed the Wells lineup.

Wells will take a week off before returning to competition Saturday, Oct. 27 at the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pa.
