The Wells College women's and men's cross country teams will compete in the 2018 North Eastern Athletic Conference championship meet Saturday, Oct. 27. Lancaster Bible will serve as the host institution for the championship race, which will take place on a course throughout the campus grounds.

The women's 6K championship race will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the men's 8K race at noon. This year's event will feature 12 NEAC schools: Cazenovia College, College of Saint Elizabeth, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly and Wells College. Wells placed 11th in the women's championship in 2017 and the Express men ran to a sixth-place finish last year with two all-conference finishers.

For both events, the top five finishers for each team will count towards the team's total points with the best overall team score from race claiming the team title. The first-place finisher of each race will be named NEAC Runner of the Year, while the top first-year runner will be honored as the NEAC Rookie of the Year.

The 2018 NEAC All-Conference selections will be determined by the outcome of the championship race with the top-seven runners earning first team honors. The runners who place eighth through 14th will earn a spot on the second team, while the competitors who finish 15-21 will round out the third team.

Lancaster Bible will provide live video of the start/finish line and the awards ceremony following the events on their YouTube channel. All video feeds are weather permitting.
