Taylor Policay was announced as Wells College's head softball coach in the fall of 2019 by athletic director Mike Lindberg.

Policay has six years of softball coaching experience with half at the collegiate level. In addition to spending a pair of seasons as an assistant softball coach at Wells, Policay also served as a graduate assistant and student assistant for Hall of Fame Coach Julie Lenhart at SUNY Cortland while earning her bachelors and master's degrees in sport management.

A role model as a student-athlete, Policay was recognized for her work in the classroom and on the diamond. She received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for academic excellence and was named to the Mid-State Athletic All Conference Softball team while playing for Tompkins Cortland Community College. Policay was also a standout high school athlete for the Lansing Bobcats in nearby Lansing, N.Y.
