RE:      Getting Ready for your Arrival at Wells College

Date:   July 17, 2017

On behalf of the Athletics staff, I am delighted to congratulate you on your choice to attend Wells College and welcome you to the Wells Express family.

As you begin your college career, please remember that the college community is here to support you in every aspect of your academic and athletic experience. I encourage you to meet with your coach on a regular basis, seek advice from the upper class student-athletes, and take advantage of all the resources Wells College has to offer. We believe our athletic program offers rich and dynamic opportunities for you to expand intellectually, and define your moral and ethical principles.  In addition, you will have a chance to compete for championships, challenge yourself to be the best, and make friends who will be with you for life.

I am sure you have been contacted by our Admissions Team with information about housing, registration, Orientation, and Health Reports. Please see this link for the pertinent forms and information. -- https://www.wells.edu/admissions/get-started#forms

Since you will be participating in an intercollegiate sport, it is very important that you complete the "Athletes Only" form in addition to the Health Report required for all students. Please don't forget to have your physician sign your Health Report. The link below is for new student-athletes. Please review it and be sure you have completed all athletic forms. -- http://www.wells-express.com/athletics/sports_medicine/preseasonforms

Your coach will be in touch soon (if they haven't  contacted you already) about the start date for practice and other things needed in order to clear you for the upcoming season.  In the meantime, please enjoy your summer, stay in good health, get some sleep, eat right, read, thank your family and loved ones,  and start packing.

Congratulations! I wish you all the best for success academically, athletically and personally. If I can be of any assistance to you in the process of completing these forms, please feel free to contact me (MLindberg@wells.edu).

Go Express!
