The Wells College field hockey team could not solve Wilson College on Friday afternoon as Wilson defeated the Express 2-0 in the opening game of the Wilson College tournament. Beth Cereo finished with four saves on the game.
The Express entered the five team tournament as the five seed while Wilson was the four seed. The Express and Wilson met up earlier in the season with Wilson coming out on top 2-0.
Although Wells was able to put four shots on net, they were unable to beat goalie Nikola Grafnetterova for the second time this season. The Express finished with six shots and seven penalty corners.
With the loss the Express finish the season at 3-13.
