Field Hockey Team Plays for NEAC Title Saturday

The Wells College field hockey team will face Keuka College for the 2019 North Eastern Athletic Conference championship on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m.

The Express finished the regular season in fourth place and will take on first-place Keuka College, who finished the season undefeated in NEAC play as the regular season NEAC champion. The Wolves are the reining NEAC champs and will host the title match this weekend.

Wells senior Whitney Coleman paced the offense this season with nine points, and freshman goalkeeper Sabrina Burns recorded 153 saves between the pipes for the Express.

In the team's only meeting during the season, Burns recorded a season-high 19 saves in a road loss that allowed the Wolves to obtain an undefeated NEAC regular season.

With Lancaster Bible competing in the Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) and Morrisville State competing in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), Wells advanced to the No. 2 playoff seed.
