MEN'S BASKETBALL STUMBLES AT HAMILTON TOURNAMENT

Aurora, New York – The Wells College men's  basketball team finished fourth at the Hamilton Tip-Off Tournament held at Hamilton College over the Weekend.

Wells played Bates College in the opening game of the tournament losing 80-63 on Friday. Bates led by 15 points at the half and never saw their lead go any lower than 10 points during the game.

The Bobcats had four different players score in double figures. Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) led all Express scorers with a season high 28 points. Freshmen Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) chipped in with 10 points.

In the consolation game, held on Saturday, the Express lost 97-92 to Mount St. Vincent. The Express had five players in double-figures led by freshmen Andre Sawyers' (Bronx, NY) double-double, 10 points 11 rebounds. Bullock  finished with a team high 24 points.

The Express again found themselves down at the half, 45-33. Wells would close the gap to 91-85 with 1:57, but it would prove to be to little to late as Mount St. Vincent closed the game out.

Bullock was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging 26 points in the two games.

Wells will next play Hartwick College on Thursday, December 4th, at 7:00 pm at Hartwick.
