EXPRESS BLOWOUT EAGLES; MAKE IT FIVE IN ROW

Aurora, NY– The Wells College men's basketball team (9-4) led by 18 points after the first half and continued to roll in the second half blowing out visiting Green Mountain College Eagles (3-7) 103-63 on Saturday afternoon at Wells. Darrell Bullock led the Express with a game high 29 points, while Juan Paulino added an impressive 17 points, 17 rebounds, seven assist, six steals, and five blocks. Rui Carmo led the Eagles in the loss with 33 points and 17 rebounds.

Leading by as many as 23 points in the first half, the Express used a full-court press that led to 12 steals and 15 turnovers by the Eagles in the half. The trend continued into the second half as the Eagles were unable to keep pace with the high tempo style of the Express, committing an additional seven turnovers.

The Express continued their torrid shooting from the floor, finishing 59 percent from the floor on the day (42-71), while shooting 48 percent from behind the arc (12-25).

The win marks the fifth straight and eighth out of their last ten games for the Express who are quietly becoming one of the hottest teams in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, leading the NEAC in scoring margin, field goal percentage, and three-point percentage.
