EXPRESS WEATHER STORM

Keuka Park, N.Y.– Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) finished with a game high 21 points and Juan Paulino (Bronx, N.Y.) tallied 11 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to help the Wells College men's basketball team (11-5) cruise to an 83-66 victory over the Keuka College Storm (5-8) on Saturday afternoon. The Storm were led by Diamond Booker (Bronx, N.Y.) with 17 points and eight rebounds.

Keuka held a 28-25 lead with seven minutes remaining in the first half, but two straight lay-ups by Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) started a run of 12 consecutive points that led to a 42-36 halftime lead for the Express. 

Wells never trailed in the second half as they would extend their lead to as many as 20 points before finishing with the 17 point victory.

Jones and Paulino led a group of five Express players in double-figures. Bullock finished with 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Rionn Pradia (Houston, TX) chipped in with 15 points, while Marcus Thomas (Waldorf, MD) added 11 points and a career high eight assists for the Express.

The Storm committed 26 turnovers, while the Express finished with 18 steals tying the team record.

The Express shot 29-61 (47.5 percent) from the floor, 6-20 (30 percent) from behind the arc, and a season best 19-23 (82.6 percent) from the charity stripe. 

Wells will next play Penn St. Harrisburg (8-5) this Saturday, January 30th beginning at 12:00 pm at Wells.
