CLICK LEADS HAMILTON TO VICTORY OVER WELLS

(Aurora, N.Y.)─ Hamilton College never trailed in the second half en route to a slim 63-60 victory over Wells College in non-conference men's basketball action Saturday afternoon in Clinton. Ken Click finished with a career high 21 points to lead Hamilton. Terry Harrison (Brooklyn, N.Y./Forest Hills) tallied a double-double with 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds  for Wells. The loss drops Wells to 1-4 on the season, while Hamilton improves to 2-1.

Mabior Mayen (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham) chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Dave Foltz (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) added nine points to round out the scoring for Wells.

For Hamilton, Pat Sullivan chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds, while Ephraim McDowell added eight points.

The Express shot 41.5 percent from the field, including 52.2 percent in the second half but 25 turnovers would prove to be costly for Wells, who were unable to capitalize on the poor foul shooting of the Continentals (10-21).

Wells never led in the second half. The score was tied at 30-30 early, but an 8-0 run gave Hamilton a 38-30 advantage and a lead they would never relinquish. The closest the Express got to the Continentals after that was the final margin, which was provided by a Benito Perez (Crystal City, Texas/Crystal City) three-pointer in the final seconds.

Wells next travels to Cazenovia College on Wednesday, Dec. 1 for a North Eastern Athletic Conference game set to tip at 8 p.m.
