BULLOCK FITTING IN AT NEXT LEVEL

(Aurora, N.Y.)─  Former Wells College men's basketball guard Darrell Bullock '10 recently made his professional debut for the Baskets 98 Völklingen in the German professional basketball league named Regionalliga. The league is made up of players from all over the world including former Division I, II, III players from the United States. While the competition is tougher than what he faced here at Wells, Bullock did not disappoint, finishing with a team high 24 points in Baskets 98 Völklingen 98-69 victory over TV Kirchheimbolanden on September 19. The team is based out of the small town of Völklingen, which is located in midwest Germany near the border of Luxemburg.

Bullock came to Wells as a junior transfer from Olive Harvey Community College in Chicago and was instrumental in building the Wells College men's basketball program. In his two years, Bullock helped lead the Express to two straight North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championship game appearances. He ended his two year career with 1,010 career points and 31 schools records. Bullock earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week five times and was a two time NEAC First Team All-Conference selection. As a senior, Bullock was selected to the D3Hoops.com All-East Region Team and the Basketball Coaches Association of New York Division III Second Team.

Bullock graduated in May with a degree in History and is also the second former Wells basketball player to sign a professional contract in the last six months. Juan Paulino signed with the Seattle Mountaineers of the ABA and was recently traded to the New Jersey Express.   For those of you proficient in the German language, Baskets 98 team site can be found by copying and pasting the following link into your browser:
