Men's Basketball Drops Home Game to the Red Hawks

Wells College men's basketball started off 2024 by hosting the La Roche Red Hawks for an AMCC match-up.

The Express were able to grab a 4-point lead heading into halftime off high-percentage shooting. Seven different players scored for Wells in the first half for a combined 52% from the field. They also had an 8-2 assist-to-turnover ratio. La Roche came out in the second half with more energy than Wells. The Red Hawks started the half on a 14-7 run eventually building a lead as large as thirteen over the Express. The shooting began to cool down for Wells and the turnovers piled up. As time wound down, the Express were able to get a defensive stop and fell to the Red Hawks 83-73.

Up next, Wells will head to Pitt Greensburg this Saturday for a 2 PM game.
