EXPRESS DOWNED BY CYCLONES

Aurora, New York – The Centenary College Cyclones offense could not be stopped as they would go on to defeat Wells College  21-4 in men's lacrosse action Saturday. With the loss, the Express fall to 0-7 while the Cyclones improve to 4-6 on the season. 

Jason Rieg (Chester, NJ) scored four of his five goals in the first period as the Cyclones built a quick 6-0 lead. David Kaus (Erie, PA) would put the Express on the board, scoring on a pass from Tom Torres (Shirley, NY), to trim the lead down to 7-1 with 13:21 remaining in the second period. The Cyclones would put the game out of reach from there, as they would close out the first half with eight unanswered goals and a 14-1 lead. 

In the second half, Adam Neider and Kylan Hallett (Basom, NY) would both find the back of the net for the Express.  Centenary continued their hot shooting, scoring seven more goals over the last two periods sealing the victory. 

Neider led the Express offense with two goals and one assist. Reig was the Cyclones offensive standout finishing with five goals and two assists. 

Kyle Brimm (Geneva, NY) finished with eleven saves in the loss while his replacement Kaus finished with nine saves in 15-minutes of play. Brian Troilo (Flemington, NJ) took the win in net for the Cyclones finishing with four saves. 

The Express will return to action on Saturday, March 18th at they take on Marywood University at 12:00 pm in Scranton, Pa.
