MT. ST. VINCENT ROLLS OVER EXPRESS

The Mt. St. Vincent Dolphins scored 11 goals in the first half en-route to 15-3 victory over the Wells College men's lacrosse team Saturday night at SUNY Purchase. The Express were led by Kylan Hallett's (Basom, NY) hat trick, scoring three unassisted goals, on five shots. Hallett also finished with three ground balls and 4-6 in face offs. David Kaus (Erie, PA) and Kyle Brimm (Geneva, NY) led the Express in ground balls with five each. Brimm earned the loss in net finishing with 14 saves.

The Dolphins jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first quarter,  and added four more goals in the second quarter.

Mount Saint Vincent would open the second half with two straight goals giving them a commanding 13 goal lead. Hallett would put the Express on the board with two straight goals for the Express in the third quarter. With 8:13 remaining in the fourth quarter Hallett registered his third unassisted goal completing the hat trick.

Mount Saint Vincent outshot Wells 49-11 and held a 50-31 edge in groundballs. The Dolphins won 12 of the 22 face offs. Matthew Crandall led the Express in face off wins with five.

With the loss the Express fall to 0-1 and will next play Tuesday, March 17th at 4:00 pm against St. John Fisher at St. John Fisher.
