MEN'S LACROSSE SEASON PREVIEW

(Aurora, N.Y.)- In 2011 the Wells Express Men's Lacrosse team is looking to build upon the foundation laid last season when they won their first two games in program history.  Many records were broken last year and the team is looking to break many more this year.

The attack will be anchored by Senior Kylan Hallett.  Hallett was named second team all conference last season and was also named team MVP.  Hallett had 20g and 17a last year playing in almost every position as well as taking the majority of the team's faceoffs.  Dan Schilling, a sophomore from Haborfields High School, will be returning to the attacking unit for the Express and is looking to add to his impressive debut last year.  Newcomers Jon Mulcahey and Alex Manley will be looking to make their marks as well.  Mulcahey, a transfer from Cayuga Community College where he was a two year starter totaling 30 points last year for the Spartans.  Manely joins the Express from Canisius High School.

At midfield, the Express are lead by 2010 First team all conference selection Daniel Munsell.  Munsell tallied 25g and 7a last year.  Joining Munsell are returners Matthew Crandall, David Kaus, and Chris Burger.  Crandall, a senior, had a great season last year and has 5 career goals.  Kaus, a Junior, had a breakout season last year scoring 10g and adding 6a while also handling some faceoff duties.  Burger, a Junior had a fine sophomore campaign with 5g and 5a.  Burger was also the most improved player last year.  Newcomers at midfield include Albert Williams from Bishop O'Dowd High School (Oakland, CA), Forrest Lambert from Overland High School (Denver, CO), Steven Mack from Rome Free Academy and Mohawk Community College where he won 68% percent of his faceoffs, and Sean Snell from Morrisville, NY.

The Defense will look to improve greatly from last year.  Seniors Dave Easton and Eric Peterson will be joined by sophomore Stephen Rodriguez and transfer Chris Green.  Easton and Peterson will be looking to finish their collegiate careers on a good note while Rodriguez will look to improve upon his great year last season.  Newcomer Green was a two year starter at CCC and elected a captain his sophomore year.  Last year, Green played at Division II Chestnut Hill College where he was also a captain.

In goal, junior Kyle Brimm returns as the preseason starter.  Brimm, from Geneva, NY, has worked hard to become a better goalie and will be counted on greatly this season.
