FIVE MEN'S LACROSSE PLAYERS HONORED WITH ALL-CONFERENCE AWARDS

AURORA, N.Y. - Five Wells College men's lacrosse players recently earned North Eastern Athletic Conference All-Conference Honors for the 2011 season. Jonathan Mulcahey, Steve Mack, Forrest Lambert, and Dan Munsell earned All-Conference Second Team honors, while David Easton earned All-Conference Third Team Honors. 

Junior Jonathan Mulcahey (Fulton, N.Y.) was selected All-Conference Second Team at the attack position, finishing second on the team in total points with 41. Mulcahey set the single season record for assists with 21 and finished third on the team in goals with 20, while scooping up 30 total groundballs and earning one NEAC Player of the Week Award. Highlights of the season included an eight point performance (2 g, 6 a) against Penn. St. Abington and a seven point performance (5 g, 2 a) against Mt. St. Vincent. 

Junior Steven Mack (Rome, N.Y.) was selected All-Conference Second Team as a face-off specialist. Mack won 124 of 249 face-offs for an impressive .498 win percentage, scored eight goals, and finished with 51 groundballs in his first season for the Express.

Freshmen Forrest Lambert (Aurora, Colo.) made an immediate impact for the Express in his first season. Lambert earned All-Conference Second Team honors at the midfield position, finishing with 19 points (10 g, 9 a), and a team leading 78 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. Lambert's best game came in the Express' 18-10 victory over Mt. St. Mary College when he finished with three goals, two assists, and 11 groundballs. 

Sophomore Dan Munsell (Doylestown, Pa.) earned All-Conference Second Team honors at the midfield position. Munsell finished second on the team in goals with 27 and added four assists for a total of 31 points on the season, while grabbing 53 ground balls. Highlights of the season included a five goal and one assist performance against Penn. St. Abington and a three goal game against Mt. St. Mary in which he also scooped up a game high 13 groundballs. 

Senior David Easton earned All-Conference Third Team honors at the defense position. Easton started all 11 games for the Express, leading the team to its lowest goals against in program history. 

The Express finished 3-8 on the season with the three wins marking the most in the programs short four year history.
