Aurora, New York – The Wells College Men's Soccer Team peppered the Wildcats with 17 shots, including two goals, as they steadily defeat Cazenovia College 2-0 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game Tuesday at Wells. The Express were led by goalie Mike Birklin (Cicero, NY) who was a rock in net recording the shutout on nine saves.
Wells got the scoring started late in the first half as Patrick Arancio (Clinton, NY) put home a goal on a pass from Delroy Roberts (Schenectady, NY) to give the Express a 1-0 lead. Wells would later add an insurance goal on a penalty kick by Corey Fischer (Phoenicia, NY) to seal the win with just under eight minutes left in the game.
The Express will next play at home on Saturday, September 20, at 1:30 pm. against Penn-St. Harrisburg.
