ROBERTS AND HUGGINS EARN ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS

(Aurora, N.Y.)─ Wells College men's soccer players Delroy Roberts (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) and Ryan Huggins (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) have been named North Eastern Athletic Conference Second-Team All-Conference announced late yesterday evening by the NEAC office. The Express finished the season at 5-9-3, including a 3-4-2 record in conference play.

Roberts, a junior, finished the season with a team leading nine goals (5th in the NEAC) and two assists for a total of 20 points (4th in the NEAC).  Roberts currently holds the Wells career record for points (44), goals (18), and assist (8).This is the third straight year Roberts has been named NEAC Second-Team All-Conference.

Huggins, a junior, is a defensive specialist that led arguably the best defense in the conference. Huggins and the rest of the Express defense allowed the second fewest goals per game in-conference (1.00) and finished with a conference leading five shutouts. This is Huggins first All-Conference Selection.

This was by far one of the Express' most prolific teams, notching program highs in goals (25) and shutouts (7). Despite the statistical highs, the Express missed the conference tournament for the first time in three years, finishing seventh, just one spot out of the playoffs.
