WELLS MEN’S SOCCER CRUISES PAST HILBERT

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Wells College men's soccer team exploded for three second half goals en route to a 4-0 victory over the Hilbert College Hawks on Wednesday evening in Hamburg, N.Y. Delroy Roberts (Kingston, Jamaica/Schenectady) paced the Express with two goals while C.J. Bayly (Waymart, Pa./Western Wayne) earned his second straight shutout victory in net.

The Express struck 3:24 into the first half on a goal by Adam Sullivan (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) with Patrick O'Callaghan (Seldon, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) assisting on the play. The score held at 1-0 after the first half with Wells controlling much of the play, outshooting the Hawks 7-2.

Senior JP. Rosas notched his first goal of the year less than three minutes into play of the second half and Roberts put the game out of reach at the 60-minute mark, tallying two goals, 17-seconds apart, to give the Express a commanding 4-0 lead with 30-minutes to play.

The Express pressured through much of the game and held the advantage in shots on goal 10-1, while both teams finished with four corner kicks.

Kamil Cislak (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) and Scott Walker (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) split time in net for the Hawks. Walker suffered the loss while both finished with three saves.

The Express return to action this coming Saturday against NEAC rival Penn. St. Abington at 12 p.m. in Abington, Pa.
