SODUMS NAMED NSCAA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE

AURORA, N.Y. - Wells College men's soccer player Patrick Sodums (Candor, N.Y.) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Men's Scholar All-East Region Honorable Mention Team.

In order to be nominated for this honor, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, start more than 50 percent of all games, be a significant contributor to their team, and earn at least junior academic standing.

Sodums, a senior, appeared in 30 games for the Express over his two year career. He helped lead the Express to program best 7-10 record this past season while anchoring a defense that finished third in the North Eastern Athletic Conference in goals allowed with 1.30, earning Sodums NEAC Second Team All-Conference honors.

He currently holds a 3.59 GPA and will graduate this coming May with a degree in International Entrepreneurial Development.
