Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Game Against Lancaster Bible

The Wells College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 game Saturday, Oct. 15 at home against Lancaster Bible College in North Eastern Athletic Conference action at the Wells Turf Field. Lancaster Bible scored the only goal of the match in the early part of the second half and held on for the win.

Saturday's match ended a seven-game winning streak for the Express, the longest winning streak in Wells men's soccer program history.

During a scoreless first half, Wells came closest to scoring when Carlos Valdivieso fired a dipping shot from 25 yards out that ricocheted off of the crossbar.

Lancaster Bible scored the decisive goal on a pass from Edward Bills, from the left side over to the right post, where Caleb Nelson scored from close range.

Wells goalkeeper Owen May had five saves, including two strong diving saves in the opening minutes of the first half.

The Express had a 12-11 advantage in shots during the game, and an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Wells returns to action Sunday, Oct. 16 with a 2 p.m. match at home against Penn State-Berks.
