SWIMMING SETS NEW RECORDS IN LOSS TO BUFFALO STATE

The men's and women's swim team were both defeated by Buffalo State College on Wednesday night in Buffalo. The men were downed 124-46 while the women lost 109-49.

The men's 200 Yard Medley Relay team, swam by Mike Scharvella, Kristopher Bradt, Drew Teter, and Court Carnahan, were able to set a new school record with a time of 1:57.08. The new record shaves off more than two seconds off the old record set back in November. Teter also set a new all-time record in the men's 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:01.06, smashing his previous record of 1:03.64 set back in October.

Idolyn Villiotti had the only first place finish for the women, placing first in the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:40.81.

The swim team will next host a tri-meet against Mansfield and Pitt Bradford on Saturday, January 17th at 1:00 pm at Wells.
