MEN'S SWIMMING PLACES THIRD AT HARTWICK RELAYS

AURORA, N.Y. - The Wells College men's swimming team placed third out of four teams at the Hartwick College Relays held this afternoon at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. Hartwick took the top overall spot with 168 points, topping The College of Saint Rose (110 pts), Wells (52 pts), and Cazenovia College (30 pts).

The Express set two all-time school marks this afternoon. The Men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Taylor Dunn (Williamstown, Mass.), Thomas Laier (Eas Nassua, N.Y.), Zachary Dvornicky-Raymond (Hector, N.Y.), and Matt Sleezer (Gloversville, N.Y.) set the 6th all-time school mark finishing fourth with a time of 1:39.50, besting the previous time of 1:41.55 set back in 2009.

The Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Sleezer, Dvornicky-Raymond, Dunn, and Laier also set the 6th all-time school record in the event, finishing third with a time of 1:53.02, besting the previous mark of 1:56.55 set last season.

The Express also placed third in several events including the 300 Yard Backstroke Relay. The relay team of Laier, Sleezer, and Alex Lamphear (Springfield, Ohio) placed third with a time of 3:39.38. The 300 Yard Butterfly Relay team of Laier, Dunn, and Tyler Fischettie (Weedsport, N.Y.) placed third with a time of 3:34.74. The 850 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Zachary Daniels (Chestertown, Md.), Lamphear, Ian Ronan (West Falls, N.Y.), and Chris Guard (Youngstown, N.Y.) placed third with a time of 10:25.39, and the 3 x 200 Yard Individual Medley Relay team of Guard, Fischetti, and Ronan placed third with a time of 8:11.03.

The Express return to action on Oct. 29 when take on Bard College at Simmons Rock at 1 p.m. in Great Barringotn, Mass.
