Men's Swimming Fourth At Pumpkin Relays

The Wells College men's swimming team took fourth place of five teams at the SUNY Cortland Pumpkin Relays as the Express started the competitive portion of its 2018-19 season on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Cortland.

A variety of traditional and unique relay events were contested during the meet, which also included the host Red Dragons, Roberts Wesleyan, New Paltz, and Marywood.

The Express capped the meet with a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as Aaron Connolly, Andrew Cao, Richie Ford, and Jose Ramirez swam the event in 2:36.09.

Wells took seventh place in both the 400-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. In the 400 MR, Andrew Silva, Connolly, Ford, and Cao finished in 5:51.58. The 200 FR quartet of Ramirez, Cao, Silva, and Connolly clocked 2:21.19.

The Express begins its dual-meet season Saturday, Oct. 27 at Oswego State.
