Men's Volleyball Plays Twice At Juniata Invitational

The Wells College men's volleyball team competed at the 2017 Juniata Invitational and dropped both of its matches. Wells lost in four sets against Thiel College and the Express lost in three sets against host school Juniata College. Wells junior Brannon Perdicho was named to the all-tournament team.

Wells is 1-5 on the season and will play North Eastern Athletic Conference matches next weekend, against Lancaster Bible, Wilson, and Penn State Altoona in a conference weekend hosted by SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Thiel 3, Wells 1

Wells won the first set by a score of 25-16 and the Express hit .333 with 10 kills and three errors on 21 attacks. Thiel won the next three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-21. Caden O'Loughlin led Wells with 12 kills in the match and had four errors. Perdicho added nine kills and 14 digs. Ryan Turner had five block assists. Scott Litvin had 25 assists.

Juniata 3, Wells 0

Set scores were 25-23, 25-17, 25-15. Scott Litvin assisted on 16 of the 21 total kills for Wells in the match. Perdicho led Wells with eight kills and seven digs. Trysten McLaughlin served two aces for the Express. O'Loughlin had a solo block and Turner had two block assists.
