Men’s Volleyball Team Ranked Nationally at No. 11

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its preseason national rankings today with the Wells College men's volleyball team in the No. 11 spot. It was the same spot the Express finished at the close of last season in the final 2019 AVCA poll last April.

In the 2019 season, Wells College set program records for total wins and winning percentage while capturing the North Eastern Athletic Conference championship. Wells played 10 of its 37 matches last season against teams that finished the season in the national rankings or were ranked in the national poll at the time of the match.

The Express starts its season this weekend against Lakeland University (Wisc.) on Jan. 10 at University of California Santa Cruz as the first of four matches during the two-day Slug Slam Tournament at Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, Calif.
