Wells College Men’s Volleyball Moves to No. 4 in Massey Ratings

The current Massey Ratings for National Collegiate Athletic Association D-III men's volleyball teams has Wells College at No. 4 with a 0.91 rating after the team's undefeated 7-0 start.

The Wells College men's volleyball team got off to a 4-0 start in University of California Santa Cruz's annual Slug Slam. Two members of the Express were recognized by the North Eastern Athletic Conference as its players of the week for their performances in that tournament. Justin Williams received NEAC Defensive Player of the Week after being named Slug Slam MVP, and Robert Patzer was named NEAC Offensive Player of the Week. Those two Wells College players along with Josh Undari were selected to the all-tournament team.

Last weekend the Wells College men's volleyball team swept the St. John Fisher College's Cardinal Invite with a 3-0 record after only 10 sets. The result was an improved national ranking by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) to No. 7 from No. 11. For the second time in as many weeks, the Express swept NEAC Player of the Week honors with Patzer receiving Defensive Player of the Week, while the top offensive player award went to Caden O'Loughlin.
