Reed Sets Personal Best 8K Time At CCOC

GENEVA, N.Y. – Senior Paul Hernon (New Hartford, N.Y.) led all Wells College men's cross country runners at the Cross Country Only Championships on Saturday at Seneca Lake State Park. As a team, Wells finished in 14th place and tallied 360 points.

Hernon's time of 30:58.1 placed him 79th amongst the field of 144 entrants. Junior Stephen Armstrong (Horseheads, N.Y.) finished in 82nd place, completing the 8K course in 31:03.7. Sophomore Ky'aire Reed (Trenton, N.J.) recorded a personal-best time of 33:34.0, averaging a pace of 6:46/mile.

Junior Andrew Judson (Court Gambrillis, Md.) placed 127th with a time of 35:23.4 while classmate Zachary Tripsas (Hunter, N.Y.) crossed the finish line in 38:40.5. Junior Raymond Soriano (Laredo, Texas) rounded out the field with a time of 51:20.0.

Wells returns to action Saturday, Nov. 1 as they participate in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Gallaudet University. More information regarding the league postseason meet will be posted on the Wells College Athletics website later in the week.
